Doctor Who Series 7 air date announced

After months of speculation, the announcement was made Tuesday regarding the airdate of “Asylum of the Daleks”. The attendees from the BFI Southbank screening have stated the episode will be aired on September 1, 2012. The long awaited news is a refreshing relief. Whovians around the world can rejoice that the end of an eight month wait is finally approaching. An official announcement has yet to be made by BBC or BBC America.

Throughout the last three months, many unofficial announcements led “Doctor Who” fans to attempt and deduce when the airdate would be. Many podcasts and fan sites, such as Radio Free Skaro and The Examiner, used their Sherlockian skills to form that the date would be September 1. From Matt Smith hinting that the episode would be aired in August, to combing the BBC America schedule for details, these super sleuths were able to crack one of the biggest mysteries in Science Fiction for 2012.
