Beloved television, film and stage actor John Barrowman was injured on Friday during a live pantomime performance of “Jack and the Beanstalk” at the Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow. During the performance Barrowman fell off of a horse and later complained of back pain. He apologized to the audience and the show began 30 minutes later with his understudy and cousin Greg Barrowman completing the performance. As reported by STV, a SECCspokesperson stated “During today’s matinee performance of Jack in the Beanstalk, John Barrowman suffered an injury on stage and has been taken to hospital as a precaution.”
John Barrowman is known for many roles, however he is loved around the world as Captain Jack Harkness from “Doctor Who” and “Torchwood”. He has also appeared in films such as “The Producers” and “Zero Dark Thirty”. Recently he appeared in the new television hit “Arrow”.
