“Star Wars” fans from around the world have converged on Orlando. The eighth Star Wars Celebration Convention has opened to large crowds and the Empire is trying to keep the peace. Many attendees are dressed up as their favorite character and even as spoof “Star Wars” favorites.
The Celebration Experience Exhibit Hall is packed wall to wall with amazing stores and activities. Retailers such as Disney, Think Geekan Time Machine Collectables are selling amazing products and even event exclusive items. Think Geek has a show special t-shirt and a display of “Star Wars” items soon to be released. The official convention store has a fix for every fan including a Basket of Ewoks.
Tonight the convention is hosting a special ticketed event. “An Evening with Kevin Smith” gives fans an amazing chance to ask the director questions in a theatre setting. Many of Kevin Smith’s other question and answer shows have been released on DVD.
Many panels are incorporating free give aways as an extra incentive to explore the convention. Star Tots are small metal characters and are being handed out at certain events. The Welovefine.com table is giving away convention exclusive bags with any purchase.
